3. Mußbacher Eselshautlauf 2026

The Mußbacher Eselshautlauf guides runners through fields and woods surrounding Neustadt-Mußbach, a district of Neustadt an der Weinstraße in Rhineland-Palatinate. This DLV-approved local running event offers distances suitable for various ages and abilities, including 500 meters for younger participants and 5K and 10K races for older ones. Organized by Turnverein 1860 Mußbach e.V., the race takes place in late summer. Although this series is relatively new, demand was high from its inception, with the first edition filling all 300 spots within five weeks of registration opening. The participant limit is intentional, fostering a sense of a close-knit community race rather than a large-scale city event. All finishers are awarded a medal, and the day concludes with music from a DJ, food trucks, and a post-race gathering.
