38. Hemfurth-Edersee-Abendlauf 2026

The Hemfurth-Edersee-Abendlauf is an evening running event in Hemfurth-Edersee. Races begin on the sports field, with the main 10k starting after shorter children’s and 5k races. The program offers distances for various ages: Bambini run 400 meters, older children and youth have 1000m and 2000m races, and adults can choose the 5k or the 10k. The event includes the Edersee-Abendlauf and the Feuerwehrlauf Waldeck-Frankenberg, and it counts toward the Waldeck-Frankenberger Laufcup. TSV 08 Hemfurth-Edersee anticipates around 200 participants, including some vacation guests. The 10k route proceeds from the sports field to the market square by the Edersee dam, then covers several hilly kilometers along the lake before returning to the sports field. Runners will encounter 106 meters of elevation gain on the main course. Fire brigade runners participate in the standard age-group races but are also ranked separately in the Feuerwehrlauf; they must state their town and this category during registration. On-site registration is open until 30 minutes before each start. All finishers get a certificate, Bambini receive a medal, and the top runners in the 5k and 10k races get prizes.
