About this race
The Olewiger Charity Run is a small charity race in Trier-Olewig, located at Olewiger Strasse 181 and held on the Sunday of the Olewig Wine Festival. It is founded on the concept of doing good through running, with Charity Run e.V. organizing the event and seeking help from members, supporting members, or volunteers. The program prioritizes families: a 400 m children's run for ages 1 to 6, a 1 km youth run for ages 6 to 13, a 1 km inclusion run open from age 5 to 99, and two 5 km races for participants aged 14 and up.
The 5 km races divide into an elite competition for women and men and a main run, ensuring faster runners and everyday participants have distinct places in the schedule. The shorter races allow very young children, teenagers, and inclusive participants to compete before the adult fields begin. The event also participates in the 4-Regio Cup, connecting it with other regional races. Its distinct character stems from this combination: a wine festival Sunday in a Trier neighborhood, a charity club organizing it, and race distances accommodating nearly every age group.
