About this race
The Muswiesenlauf is a public road and trail race in Rot am See-Musdorf, Hohenlohe. It takes place on Muswiese Saturday during the traditional Muswiese fair. The main distances are 10,000 meters and 5,000 meters. Additionally, there are separate student races of 500, 1,000, and 2,500 meters, along with a 5,000-meter youth run. The event caters to children, teenagers, club runners, and local adults.
The course consists of approximately half asphalt farm roads and half gravel forest paths, offering varied terrain. The race draws participants because of its connection with the Muswiese, a festival in Rot am See-Musdorf dating back to 1434. Organizers state the run is the oldest public race in the region. All participants receive a certificate, and children are given a toy car chip, a small custom that aligns with the family-oriented race schedule.
