Aasee Triathlon

The Aasee Triathlon takes place in June at Freizeitzentrum Aasee in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia. Racing centers on the lake and the local watersports club. It provides sprint, short, and middle-distance races. The sprint involves a 0.5 km swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run. Longer relay races extend to 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling, and 10 km running. The event is organized by Bocholter Wassersportverein 1920. This club's broader activities include swimming, water polo, sailing, tennis, and volleyball. The course is flat. The middle distance also functions as an NRW championship race. The program accommodates Regionalliga athletes, age-groupers, relay teams, children, and teenagers, not solely adult individual competitors.
