About this race
The ADAC Cycling Tour offers amateur road cyclists a chance to ride closed roads on the final day of the Lidl Deutschland Tour. In Heilbronn, the ride begins at Marktplatz, providing hobby riders with the same event setting as the professionals, featuring road-bike routes designed around the Tour finale. Participants can select a Classic distance of approximately 100 to 120 km or a Sprint distance of about 50 to 60 km, accommodating both serious club riders and those new to a major closed-road event.
The course varies depending on the Deutschland Tour host region, utilizing circuit-style routes that traverse city streets, rural areas, and connecting roads between towns. In Magdeburg, the event includes the Großer Börde Loop, approximately 120 km with around 700 meters of elevation gain, and the Kleiner Börde Loop, about 50 km with roughly 250 meters of elevation gain. That particular edition attracts up to 2,000 participants, starts at the Sternbrücke, and holds significant local importance as the city's developing cycling community regards it as a home race.
