Baltic X Backyard Ultra 2026

Baltic X Backyard Ultra is a Last One Standing ultrarun held in Ostseebad Binz, located on Germany’s Baltic coast. Each hour, runners begin a new 6.706 km loop departing from Kurplatz Binz. Participants who do not complete the loop within the hour or miss the subsequent start are eliminated. The event has no predetermined total distance or overall time limit, concluding only when a single runner remains. The course runs along the Binz promenade toward Prora before looping back to the original start and finish area. As the field diminishes with each round, pacing, recovery, nutrition, and mental fortitude become as crucial as physical speed. Participation is restricted to adults, and the organizers require a high level of fitness. Runners who finish receive medals and certificates, but the core challenge of the format lies in its straightforward demand: continue starting on the hour, or cease.
