The Bergstraße-Odenwald Walk-Trailrun Weinheim begins and ends at the Schlosshof / Schlosspark in Weinheim, located on the border of Baden-Württemberg’s Bergstraße and Odenwald regions. This October event caters to both hikers and trail runners, offering three distinct route options: approximately 20 km with 400 m of elevation gain, 30 km with 600 m, or 50 km with 1200 m. The courses traverse the Bergstraße and Vorderer Odenwald areas, transitioning from forest trails to open elevated terrain with vistas of the Rhine plain. Participants will journey past vineyards and utilize established regional paths like the Burgensteig and Blütenweg. Aid stations will be available, and GPX data will be supplied. The precise course is adjusted annually, and confirmed participants are informed of the final route several weeks prior to the event, allowing for potential variations of about 15 percent in the stated distances and elevation figures.
