Bonner Nikolauslauf

The Bonner Nikolauslauf is a December running event in Bonn, Germany, starting in the Rheinaue park near Ludwig-Erhard-Allee in the 53175 district. It is organized by Bonn läuft! e.V. and offers a fast 10 km option plus a more flexible run for participants who want a shorter distance or a less race-focused outing. The SpeedRun starts early in the afternoon and covers 10 km over three laps. The FunRun follows later, with runners choosing one lap for 3.4 km, two laps for 6.7 km, or three laps for 10 km. Primary school children get their own 1 km Nikoläuschenlauf, which gives the event a family feel rather than making it only about adult road racing. The race began in 2018, relies on volunteers, publishes finish times and placements, and lets runners download certificates after the event. There is also a small event shop with running accessories and Nikolaus-themed shirts.
