Cross der deutschen Einheit

Cross der deutschen Einheit is a running event in Weißensee, Thuringia, observed on German Unity Day. SV Blau-Weiß Weißensee organizes the event, offering races for children, club runners, walkers, and longer-distance runners, rather than a single main race. The routes encircle the Gondelteich and follow the Helbe and Unstrut rivers. Distances range from 1 km and 1.2 km for youth races to a 10.5 km race and the 21.1 km Helbetal Half Marathon. The 3.5 km course is flat. All races conclude at the same finish area. The program features sponsor and local club cups; recent events have attracted over 300 participants.
