The Fackellauf über die Brücken der Europastadt Görlitz-Zgorzelec is an evening torch run in Görlitz. It begins and ends on the Altstadtbrücke, the Old Town Bridge connecting Germany and Poland. Participants can select one lap of approximately 3.9 km or two laps totaling about 7.8 km. The event takes place between 18:30 and 20:30. The course follows the Altstadtbrücke, Uferstraße, Furtstraße, and Am Stadtpark, keeping participants near the river and the border-city environment. This race is also known as the Fackellauf "Heinz Anders". It is organized by Europamarathon Görlitz-Zgorzelec e.V., with assistance from Zgorzelec city services, the local EDI team, and the Upper Lusatian district sports association.
