Falkenauer Bergcrosslauf

The Falkenauer Bergcrosslauf is a local cross-country and hill-running event in Falkenau, Saxony, organized by TSV 1888 Falkenau. The race program offers adults and older runners a choice of 10 km, 5 km, and 2.5 km distances. Nordic walking is also available for those who prefer to tackle the hills at a walking pace. The shorter races contribute to a local and family-friendly atmosphere. There are 400 m Bummilauf races for children aged 3 to 5 and 6 to 7, plus 800 m school runs for elementary-age children. First held in 2007, it is a club event where the name indicates the nature of the course: uneven ground, climbing, and a race schedule designed to accommodate young runners alongside the main participants.
