About this race
The Gertfred Sprotte Gedächtnisfahrt is Radsportclub Wiesloch's annual bike marathon, a long road cycling ride organized by the Wiesloch cycling club. It is designed for riders seeking a full day in the saddle over a short race, and recent events have challenged participants with heat and distance.
The route was adjusted after organizers observed riders fading late in the long ride. The current version directs the field toward Bauland and Tauberfranken, with Boxberg as the farthest point, and includes fewer climbs in the second half. One event even utilized freshly paved road on the L2311 between Eberbach and Gaimuehle after the club coordinated with the construction company during delayed repairs.
