About this race
The Hensel Recycling Churfranken Triathlon takes place in mid-July in Niedernberg am Main, located in Bavaria’s Lower Franconia region. This local race day offers Sprint and Olympic-distance options. The Sprint consists of a 0.5 km swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run. The Olympic distance includes a 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run. Participants can compete individually or as part of a relay team. The fields are open to everyday entrants and age-group racers, not exclusively specialists.
The course features rolling terrain. The longer bike route includes sufficient climbing to challenge riders, requiring effort beyond maintaining a steady pace. All races conclude at the Hans Herrmann Halle, providing a single, shared finish line for individual racers, relay teams, adults, children, and youth entrants. TRIPAUL Sportevents is the organizer, with Hensel Recycling serving as the main sponsor and namesake. The event prioritizes a practical, race-focused atmosphere, featuring numerous starts and teams for a busy competition day rather than an extensive show program.
