The Bergische 50 is a 50-kilometer endurance hike in Germany’s Bergisches Land, centered around a 12-hour day on foot. It begins in waves from the marketplace in Wipperfürth in the morning, and the finish is at the same square in the heart of town.
The main route is designed for solo hikers, but pairs can divide it into two approximately 25-kilometer sections, with a shuttle service connecting the start-finish area and the changeover point. A shorter Bergische 25 takes place the following day for those who want the same landscape at half the distance. The longer event is also suitable for hiking duos and workplace groups seeking an active team challenge.
