About this race
The Holzland-Volkslauf Schopp is a running event held in Schopp, a village within Germany's Kaiserslautern district, situated near the Palatinate Forest-Vosges du Nord Biosphere Reserve. The races commence in the morning from the sports field at Eichwaldstadion, offering 10 km and 3 km routes, alongside a Nordic Walking option. This variety caters to both runners and walkers, not exclusively competitive road racers.
SV Schopp is the organizing body for this event, which originated in 1972. The race takes place in the Palatinate Holzland region. The Moosalb stream runs to the west of the village, and the Hirschalbe stream forms the southern boundary towards Geiselberg. Schopp also covers the residential areas of Finsterbrunnertal and Pulvermuhle. Registration is managed via the organizer's website, with past results, start lists, and photographs made available to participants post-event.
