About this race
KoBoLT is a small, private ultra trail race held on Germany’s Rheinsteig. It starts and finishes at Jupp-Gassen-Halle in Bonn-Oberkassel, taking place from Saturday into Sunday in late November. Distances offered are 140 km, 99 km, and approximately 73 km. The races award ITRA points and can serve as qualifiers for CCC, TDS, and UTMB.
The longest route has about 4,500 meters of climbing. The 99 km race includes around 3,400 meters, and the shorter KoBoLT route features roughly 2,800 to 2,980 meters of ascent, depending on the official listing. The participant field is small for an ultra, capped at around 100 runners, with recent finisher numbers staying just below this limit. The 73 km “Auge um Auge KoBoLT” begins at midnight, allowing participants until Sunday afternoon to return to Oberkassel. Registration is managed via the race homepage and raceresult, though organizers also allocate spots for invitations and wildcards, maintaining the event's private-run character.
