Nachtmammut Ruhrgebiet (Duisburg)

Nachtmammut Ruhrgebiet is a night march held at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord in Duisburg, offering 30 km and 42 km routes. Participants begin in assigned groups during the evening and continue through the night, distinct from a typical daytime road race. The course highlights the Ruhr area’s industrial heritage. Key locations include the illuminated blast furnace plant at Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord, the Slinkybridge, and the lit Gasometer in Oberhausen. Organizers incorporate light installations within the park and along the route. Participants completing the march are greeted near sunrise with applause and receive a medal.
