The Panorama-Baumwipfel-Lauf begins in Oberschwarzach, Lower Franconia, Bavaria. Children's races start the event, with longer runs scheduled for late afternoon. Participants can choose between a 6 km run, a 12 km Herrenberg-Erlebnislauf, and a half marathon (approximately 21.1 to 21.5 km). This is a road race incorporating nature and forest segments. The half marathon includes significant climbing, with about 440 m of elevation gain.
The adult courses are single loops, avoiding repetition of short circuits. The route crosses the Steigerwald and vineyard regions near Oberschwarzach, lending a countryside atmosphere distinct from city races. Families are accommodated with a 500 m Bambini-Eichhörnchen-Lauf and a 1.7 km Youngster race for school-age and youth participants. Following the races, a runner meet features a buffet, grilled food, and awards for top finishers, largest groups, and special recognitions.
