Runners find the terrain equally pancake-flat, with park runs and longer efforts mostly following the palace grounds and waterfront paths around Sanssouci; this is north German flatland, rarely climbing above 100m elevation. For serious distance work, Berlin's urban gravel and marathon events lie just 25km east, but locally Potsdam is a zone of water, parks, and gentle gravel touring rather than hill repeats.
