Rosenstadt-Triathlon

The Rosenstadt-Triathlon begins and ends at the Eutin castle, located in the "rose town" of Schleswig-Holstein. This June event offers races for relay teams, individual participants, women, and students. The competition includes short youth races alongside adult sprint-distance events. Adult participants can choose between a 750m or 500m swim, followed by a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. Alternatively, a shorter option features a 200m swim, 10km bike ride, and a 2km run. The student races adjust distances based on age. Formats include a 400m swim, 10km bike, and 2km run; a 200m swim, 5km bike, and 1km run; and for the youngest athletes, a 100m swim, 2.5km bike, and 400m run. The event also serves as the Schleswig-Holstein state championship for Youth B and Schüler A, B, and C categories, and contributes to the SHTU Schüler- und Jugend Cup. Polizei-SV Eutin organizes the triathlon with volunteer support, and the DLRG Eutin local branch assists with water safety.
