About this race
Rossfeld Everesting challenges riders on the Rossfeld South Ascent near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. The route begins at Klaushöhe (980m) and concludes at Ahornbüchsenkopf (1,540m). This one-day cycling event supports Children's Cancer Aid and Mountain Rescue, based on the concept of ascending the climb repeatedly within a day.
Each lap covers 6.6 km with 560m of elevation gain, averaging an 8.3% gradient and reaching 12% in sections. A standard Everesting requires 16 laps, totaling approximately 8,900m of climbing and 210 km. However, the event accommodates variations, including a single ascent, a 32-lap challenge, and any number of laps in between. All bicycle types, including e-bikes and child trailers, are permitted. The updated route incorporates traffic calming measures to improve safety for diverse participants.
