Salzgitter-Triathlon

The Salzgitter-Triathlon is a public triathlon held at Salzgittersee, a lake in the Salzgitter area, with origins in the 1990s. Known as the BRAWO Triathlon am Salzgittersee, it attracts a diverse group of participants. While league racing has increased the competition, the event remains accessible to beginners and recreational triathletes. The race utilizes the lake, which organizers consider among the region's most scenic. In peak years, nearly 1,000 athletes register, necessitating a large parking area near the start and additional parking at the Stadtbad Salzgitter when required.
