SPO läuft - Silvesterlauf Sankt Peter-Ording is a New Year's Eve running event on Germany's North Sea coast. The start and finish are on the Erlebnis-Promenade in St. Peter-Ording. Runners can choose between 5, 10, or 15 kilometers, and younger children have a 500-meter Kids Run. It is designed as a daytime run before evening festivities, welcoming beginners, regular club runners, and families alongside competitive racers. All routes utilize the local coast, running along the dike and through a coastal forest. The North Sea wind, pine trees, and beach-side paths define the course. The 5 km route goes via Hitzlöperweg, passes the marina, follows Strandweg, and returns through quiet forest sections near the tennis club and Dünentherme. Each race distance is limited to 300 starters, and the children's loop goes over the dike toward Erlebnis-Hus before returning along the promenade.
