About this race
Stadtlauf Donaueschingen is a small charity city run in Donaueschingen, Baden-Wurttemberg, held in the afternoon and built around a two-hour window rather than one fixed mass start. It raises money for children with cystic fibrosis, and the entry fee is kept low at 5 euros, with a small extra charge for same-day registration. The format is deliberately open: runners, joggers, walkers, Nordic walkers, older participants, younger participants, and casual strollers can all join, while dogs and pedal bikes are left out for safety and space.
The route is a flat 1.1 km loop through central Donaueschingen, starting and finishing on Muhlenstrasse by the Sparkasse. From there it runs through Karlstrasse, Max-Egon-Strasse, Wasserstrasse, Kaferstrasse, Herdstrasse, and back to Muhlenstrasse, so the race stays inside the town center instead of heading out onto country roads. Participants can start at any time during the event window and collect laps at their own pace. Mukoviszidose e.V. Landesverband Baden-Wurttemberg organizes the run, and the event has reached its fifteenth edition.
