About this race
Towerrun Rottweil challenges participants to ascend the Testturm in Rottweil, Germany. This stair race utilizes an elevator test tower, featuring 1,390 steps and 232 meters of elevation gain. The course is short, steep, and direct, beginning at the base and concluding at the tower's summit.
The event is sanctioned by the Towerrunning World Association and was formerly known as the thyssenkrupp Towerrun. Its profile is classified as mountainous, reflecting the significant climb within the building. Christian Riedl set the men's course record at 6:56, and Verena Schmitz holds the women's record at 9:07. After a two-edition hiatus, the event resumed with its third edition.
