Warzer Esellauf 2026

The Warzer Esellauf is a running and walking event in Warzen, organized by the athletics section of TSV Warzen. It takes place at the sports ground and is typically held in autumn, offering routes from 1,000 meters to 10,000 meters. The event accommodates a wide range of participants: children, casual walkers, club runners, and serious competitors can all find a suitable distance. The routes traverse the Warzer Berg and its surroundings, connecting the race closely to the village landscape instead of a flat city-road course. The Esellauf is now in its twentieth edition. This anniversary event is planned as a family day as well as a race day, featuring entertainment for all ages, music provided by club DJ Bernd, and a determined approach from the organizers to ensure it proceeds regardless of the weather.
