The Weesensteiner Berglauf is a local uphill race in Müglitztal, Saxony, with the start and finish at Kaiserstüble Weesenstein / Meusegast. The first start is at 11:00. The race focuses on short climbs, not long-distance running. The routes vary from 2.4 km to 3.9 km, each with approximately 150 meters of elevation gain. The event intentionally remains local, with fewer than 100 participants and entry fees from €9.
Runners select one of three uphill courses. The event awards a Bergkönig and Bergkönigin title across all courses. The format also features the Weesensteiner Einzel-Bergsprint. The organizer may use an alternative route if rain makes a course unsuitable. Participants can walk or hike the courses, making it more accessible than a traditional mountain race. MSV Meusegast Laufbewerbe organizes the race, which is part of the Dohnaer Sportpokal cup.
