BALTIC X HORIZON HIKE 2027

The Baltic X Horizon Hike is a 42 km marathon hike on Rügen in spring, running from the National Park Centre Königsstuhl to the beach at Ostseebad Binz. It is a long one-day walking challenge, not a running race, with the Baltic Sea close enough that its steady sound is part of the route. The course links some of Rügen’s best-known natural landmarks: Viktoria-Sicht, the Wissower Ufer, the Feuersteinfelder, the forests of Granitz, Schwarzer See, and Tempelberg. On Tempelberg the route reaches the Jagdschloss, giving the hike a clear inland high point before the finish on Binz’s seafront. The event is part of the Baltic X Sport Community, so the field is built around people taking on an endurance day together rather than chasing a standard road-race format.
