Cold Hawaii Ultra 2026

Cold Hawaii Ultra follows Denmark’s west coast where the North Sea meets Thy, offering race distances from 12 km to 100 miles. It is an ultra and trail race, not a road event, and even the shorter routes utilize the same coastal path as the longer ones. The race extends from Løkken in the north to Agger in the south, with courses crossing Thy National Park and some of the rugged, open terrain of the Danish coast. Runners will navigate sections of the West Coast Trail and Redningsvejen, the historic lifeboat road, with diversions onto dune singletrack, beach stretches, heathland, conifer forests, and small fishing villages. The route includes Hanstholm Wildlife Reserve, home to red deer, and Agger Tange, a stopover for numerous migratory birds. In certain coastal villages, fishing boats are still hauled onto the beach daily, connecting the race to the working coast as much as to the dunes and trails.
