Conquer the Castle 2026

Conquer the Castle is a 4 km obstacle race at Rosenholm Slot, located approximately 20 minutes north of Aarhus, Denmark. The race features a full medieval theme, with 25 obstacles integrated into a short, intense course designed to challenge strength, technique, speed, quick thinking, and precision. It is structured as a demanding yet playful running event, distinct from a long-distance challenge. Participants can compete in the Open Race individually or as a team, enter the Elite category, or register as a corporate team. The course incorporates the castle grounds directly into the race, extending beyond a mere backdrop. Runners navigate through the castle area, the moat, the castle garden, and the adjacent forest, with the route passing through Rosenholm Slot itself and its moat. Rosenholm Slot, established in the sixteenth century, is Denmark's oldest family estate, lending significant authenticity to the medieval theme compared to a typical themed obstacle course. Parking is provided at the castle.
