Den Norske Mil i Vesterskov is a forest race in Silkeborg Vesterskov, using an approximately 10 km loop in the southern part of the woods. Runners pay one entry fee and then choose how much they want to do: 1, 2, 3, or 5 laps, so the same route can mean a short forest run or a much longer day out.
The organizers joke that their loop may feel like Denmark's longest 10 km route, and they leave it to runners to find out what that means on foot. The race has approval from Naturstyrelsen Søhøjlandet, timing is manual and deliberately low-tech, and the organizers openly warn that small timing errors can happen; any disputes are settled by the race director.
