Halvmaraton & HCA Marathon

Halvmaraton & HCA Marathon is a road race in Odense, with the main races starting and finishing near Odense Idrætspark. It takes place in September and includes a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10 km race, a “Run the Last 10” option, and a 4.2 km MiniMarathon for participants under 18. The half marathon is a 21.097 km city loop on asphalt, officially measured and approved by A.I.M.S. The marathon is a city marathon through Odense’s streets, with roads closed to traffic for six hours. The event is suitable for first-time runners and experienced club runners, and it also hosts the Danish Championship Marathon. Music is played along the route, but runners may not wear headphones for safety. Cycling marshals support the race on the course, doctors are stationed at the finish area, and finishers receive a special H.C. Andersen-themed medal, linking the event to Odense’s most famous writer.
