About this race
The Kilojoule Run begins by the lake in Trekroner, part of the Roskilde district in Denmark. It is a small, friendly fun run designed for everyday runners, not a large-scale race. The event is set for a late summer Sunday morning, offering four distance options: 1 mile, 5 km, 10 km, and a half marathon. Entry fees are kept low, with early bird rates at 25 DKK for the mile and 50 DKK for the 5 km and 10 km, although the organizer notes prices will increase later.
The event's organization is economical and practical: there are no timing chips, so participants record their own times and submit them post-race. Music is played at the start and along the course, with water stations available. After finishing, runners receive fruit, spring water, coffee, cocoa, and cake. The event is presented as a Roskilde running gathering for all participants, featuring local sponsors such as BoxLife CrossFit, Botex, Sushi2500 Trekroner, and Café Selvskab.
