About this race

The Amazing Race China 4 features eight teams of two racing from Hong Kong across a ten-leg television race around Eurasia. The season spans over 30,000 kilometers, visiting two continents and six countries. Stops include Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Vietnam, Macau, Malaysia, Shanghai, and Chuzhou. The race follows the standard format: teams travel, solve tasks, manage pressure, and attempt to avoid elimination while proceeding from one checkpoint to the next. This season incorporates a Treasure Hunt theme, where teams collect physical "treasures" upon task completion. These props can aid in finishing the leg, often by indicating the Pit Stop location. The first leg in Hong Kong features a handprint ceremony commemorating the anniversary of Hong Kong’s transfer of sovereignty. The route was altered prior to filming, with Hefei, Macau, and Kuala Lumpur substituting planned stops in Mumbai, Tel Aviv, and Colombo. One team withdrew after Zhang Jike sustained an injury, marking the first celebrity-series season with a voluntary quit; Jia Jingwen and Xiu Jiekai were the winners, followed by Zheng Yuancheng and Wang Likun.
