About this race
Ronde van Borum is a Danish spring cycling race held on the same day as the Tour of Flanders. It employs an open class format, meaning the first rider across the line wins, regardless of gender, with separate winner's jerseys and podiums for both men and women.
The race consists of 10 laps on a 7.4 km circuit, featuring 1,000 meters of climbing. This makes it a demanding early-season challenge, not a simple flat course. Riders have used the Borum circuit for decades to prepare for the season, and recently it has attracted amateur cyclists from across Denmark. The winner's name is added to the challenge cup, awarded since 2015, and the last rider to finish receives a Lanterne Rouge prize.
