Škoda BørneTour København 2 - Copenhagen Sprint 2026

SUN, June 14, 2026 · Copenhagen , Denmark

About this race

The Copenhagen Sprint sends the professional men's and women's pelotons from Roskilde across Zealand into Copenhagen. Both races are designed for fast finishers on Denmark’s flat roads and are part of the UCI Women's World Tour and UCI World Tour calendars, attracting top-level teams. The event takes place over two days in June; the women compete on the shorter route, and the men on the longer one. Both routes conclude beside the National Gallery of Denmark following laps of a 10 km circuit through Copenhagen, offering spectators multiple opportunities to view decisive actions before the final sprint. The course begins in Roskilde, travels through North Zealand and western suburbs, and reaches the capital, passing through municipalities including Frederikssund, Hillerød, Furesø, Ballerup, Brøndby, Hvidovre, and Copenhagen. The women's race covers approximately 156-160 km with three laps of the city circuit, while the men's race is about 228-230 km with five laps. Organizers specifically designed the course for sprinters, and the inaugural women's and men's races concluded with sprints, won by Lorena Wiebes and Jordi Meeus, respectively. The event also established equal prize money, awarding €40,000 to each winner. Support for the event comes from the City of Copenhagen, the Danish government, Sport Event Denmark, and Roskilde Municipality. The men's field is substantial, with 17 World Tour teams and six Pro teams registered, including squads like Visma | Lease a Bike, Lidl-Trek, UAE Team Emirates XRG, Alpecin-Deceuninck, Uno-X Mobility, and Team Picnic PostNL.
