Blincapeñas 2026

Blincapeñas is a mountain race held in Suarías, a village within Peñamellera Baja, Asturias, northern Spain. Its Tasuguina route is a 10 km loop, short yet steep, beginning and ending in Suarías. It features 800 meters of climbing, 750 meters of descent, and 1,550 meters of total elevation change. The highest point is 788 meters. Less than a fifth of the route is track or asphalt, making it primarily off-road mountain running, not a quick road-style 10K. The 10 km race has an estimated finish time of about 1 hour 10 minutes for the leader, with an overall cutoff of 4 hours. The event also offers a 22 km trail option and a 16 km march. These formats are non-competitive. Over 400 participants have registered, including runners and walkers from across Spain. The race is organized by Asociación Cultural y Deportiva El Cantu La Jorma and sponsored by EXTINIRUÑA, a Navarra-based fire protection and security systems company with over 30 years of experience.
