About this race
The CaixaBank 10K & 5K Zaragoza sends thousands of runners through Zaragoza, offering both a 10-kilometre race and a 5-kilometre option on the same program. The finish is in Plaza del Pilar, one of the city’s main public spaces, placing the end in a central location. The event also carries the Gran Premio El Corte Inglés name and is organized by CaixaBank and El Corte Inglés.
The 10K is the main race, drawing about 5,000 of the event’s 6,200 registered runners, while the 5K brings in about 1,200 more. The 5K is new and now runs as the 5K del Centenario del CN Helios, with a route that goes through the CN Helios club facilities, adding crowd energy there. A notable detail is participation: the 5K field is split evenly, with 600 women and 600 men, giving that race 50% female participation.
