Campeonato de Europa de Triatlón de Tarragona 2026

The Port of Tarragona, located about 100 km south of Barcelona, hosts the start, finish, transition area, and athletes' expo for the European Triathlon Championships. This mid-June event features races for elite, para, age-group, and mass-participation triathletes. The standard-distance course covers 1,500 m swimming, 40 km cycling, and 10 km running, while the sprint race involves 750 m swimming, 19 km cycling, and 5 km running. Over a thousand triathletes are anticipated, with age-group competitors sharing the course with the elite field. The schedule includes sprint and standard races for age-group athletes and mass participants, alongside the elite and para championships. This marks the forty-second European Triathlon Championships, organized by the European Triathlon Union and the Spanish Triathlon Federation, with Suzuki Iberica as the main sponsor. Tarragona provides a compact setting, incorporating its Roman heritage, castells, and local cuisine into the race weekend.
