The Carrera de Media Montaña Arrebatacapas is a 12.77 km medium-mountain race held in Candelario, province of Salamanca. It is listed on the provincial race calendar and is included in the Diputación de Salamanca’s popular race circuit. The event begins in the late morning and typically attracts just over one hundred participants.
The route is short yet demanding, featuring 800 m of accumulated elevation gain across paths, tracks, and uneven trails. Participants will encounter moderate technical difficulty and two steep ascents, one of which is the Alto de Arrebatacapas, the namesake climb. The competition at the front can be very close: Manuel Vicente Tejedor Morán won in 56:03, just one second ahead of Jorge Nieto Sánchez, and Ruth Gómez Sánchez finished first for the women in 1:16:06.
