Carrera del Turrón 2026

Carrera del Turrón is a running race in Arroyo de la Encomienda, held on a Sunday morning in late December. It is an athletics event for everyday runners, and its name ties it to turrón, the Spanish Christmas nougat. The race is now in its twenty-ninth edition, with the start and finish moved to the Casa de la Música y el Teatro. The route has been adjusted slightly, but it still spends much of its distance inside the Parque Lúdico de la Ribera. Earlier editions have filled all available bibs, so it draws enough local interest that registration can close before race day. The event has also appeared as the Carrera del Turrón y del Polvorón, pairing two Spanish Christmas sweets in the title and giving the race a seasonal identity.
