About this race
The Carrera Entre Dinosaurios Villa de Igea is a nearly 10 km run in Igea, a village in La Rioja, Spain, with its dinosaur theme integrated into the name. The race begins late morning, costs 10 euros to enter, and is part of the popular road racing calendar, not an elite-only event.
The event reached its twelfth edition and served as the closing race of the Circuito de Carreras Populares de La Rioja y Navarra. Organizers advertised a new route and described the format as a country-style race, suggesting runners should anticipate a more local and terrain-focused course than a flat city loop. Results have included competitive winners such as Ismail Ed Derraz and Virginia Quellca, but the series clearly belongs to the regional club-and-community racing scene.
