Carrera Niños sin Cáncer City is a charity run held in Madrid’s Parque Juan Carlos I. It begins early in the morning with the specific goal of raising money for childhood cancer research. Organized by the Fundación OC Contra el Cáncer Infantil, it is designed as a non-competitive event, meaning there is no timing, ranking, or official winners. Adults can participate in a 5 km or 10 km run, or a 5 km Nordic Walking option, and children have separate races.
The course is contained within Parque Juan Carlos I, and participants select their distance or walking option when collecting their bibs. The Guardia Civil supports the event and has assembled a solidarity team, welcoming personnel, relatives, and friends, to aid in fundraising and awareness. The day is structured as a family charity outing, featuring live music, children’s activities, a photo area, face painting, temporary tattoos, and artistic and sports exhibitions alongside the races.
