Carrera por la Ciencia is a short public race in Zaragoza, held near the Campus Río Ebro in November. Its distance is 2π kilometers, a playful science reference that makes the event different from a standard 5K or 10K. The race links sport with science outreach, healthy habits, and social responsibility, built for broad participation rather than only fast runners.
More than 800 people have entered the race, and the organizer caps entries at 900 places. The University of Zaragoza, CSIC Aragón, the Aragón Institute of Technology, and CEEI Aragón help organize it. The event lasts about an hour, starts in the late morning, and gives local students, researchers, families, and runners a simple way to share a day around exercise and scientific work.
