Carrera por Montaña Santo Cristo del Zapato 2026

The Carrera por Montaña Santo Cristo del Zapato is a short mountain race held in Pinos del Valle, within the municipality of El Pinar in Granada. The primary event covers 10.5 kilometers, with a 2 kilometer alternative for those seeking a shorter run. The municipal sports center functions as the assembly point. This race is organized by the El Pinar City Council, receiving support from the Sports Area of the Diputación de Granada and sponsorship from Orovalle S.C.A. San Roque. The course crosses mainly dirt paths, interspersed with some asphalt sections, winding through pine forests via trails, forest tracks, and rural roads. It is not a flat race; the route features multiple ascents and descents, making it suitable for trail runners and road runners accustomed to varied terrain. Aid stations are positioned along the route, and medical support is available. The event is now in its second decade of editions.
