Cronoescalada del Valle del Malpaso

Cronoescalada del Valle del Malpaso is a short uphill cycling time trial in Haría, on Lanzarote. Participants begin in the Plaza de Haría and compete individually against the clock up to the Mirador de Los Helechos, with the start scheduled for the afternoon. The ascent measures just under 5 kilometers, gaining 329 meters with an average gradient of 6.5%. The challenge lies in maintaining power on a consistent climb. The event was established to promote cycling within Haría’s valleys and attract sports tourism to the municipality. Entry is limited to 100 participants, ensuring a select field. The competition features individual time trial and individual handbike categories, with age divisions from Alevín to Master 60 for both women and men. The registration package includes a jersey and promotional items, contributing to a local club-race atmosphere.
