About this race
Cross Internacional de Itálica is an annual cross-country race in Santiponce, near Seville, held within the Archaeological Ensemble of Itálica, the ancient Roman city. It is a race day focused on dirt running, distinct from road racing, with the unique setting of Roman ruins providing the event a clear identity.
The circuit uses the grounds of the archaeological site. The current layout features a relocated finish line, allowing spectators closer access to athletes upon arrival. The program includes popular races, a mixed night cross on Saturday evening, and Sunday races. These Sunday races encompass the Andalusian Cross Country Championship for Clubs, alongside technical sessions and a race fair surrounding the competition weekend.
