Cross Pinar del Hierro 2026

Cross Pinar del Hierro is a Sunday morning cross-country race held in Chiclana de la Frontera, Andalusia. The main adult race begins at 10:00 AM. Organized by the Sports Delegation of Chiclana City Council, this event marks its nineteenth edition. Adult participants compete over 7.6 kilometers, completing two laps of a circuit validated by the Andalusian Athletics Federation. The race route winds through the Pinar del Hierro and La Espartosa public forest park, distinguishing it as a parkland cross-country event rather than a road race. The primary competition features under-18, under-20, senior, and veteran runners across men's and women's divisions. Following the adult races, younger participants start at 11:15 AM. Categories for youth range from under-16 down to pitufos for the youngest children, with race distances varying from 3,000 meters to 200 meters. An adapted-distance option is also available.
