Cross Popular Ermita Ntra. Sra. de la Bella is a cross-country race held at the Recinto Romero of the Ermita de La Bella in Lepe, Spain’s Huelva province. It is organized by Lepe City Council’s Sports Service and the Ciudad de Lepe Athletics Club, and it is part of the Provincial Cross Country Circuit organized by the Huelva Provincial Council. The event also carries the Gabriel Huerga memorial name, linking the local race day with a long-running tribute.
The course stays close to the hermitage grounds rather than using a city-road layout. Runners pass the romero huts, run near views over the marshes by Puerto de El Terrón, and circle the ruins of the old convent beside the hermitage. The field is broad: men and women can enter if they fit the listed age groups, from very young children in the pitufo and prebenjamín categories through infantil, sénior, and veterano runners.
